Can PRIVATE student loans get discharged in a chapter 7 Bankruptcy?
By admin | March 26, 2009
pwolf asked:
I have a lot of debt in student loans 70,000 private student loans and 25,000 federal student loans. Wells Fargo refuses to consolidate my private student loans, and so the payment is un-makeable. I’ve checked everything out and the Wells Fargo Collegiate Loans I have with them totaling 70,000 are not federally backed at all. Will these loans (wells fargo loans) be dis chargeable in my chapter 7 bankruptcy?

I don’t think they can be. Call a bankruptcy lawer and ask. Most time they will answer one question for you.
